New Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 – Now Here

If you’ve been considering adding a tablet to your technology suite, now might be the time to get serious – the next, much-anticipated Samsung tablet offering has hit Australian stores.

Just released in Australia, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 line features three sleek, stylish tablets. Whether you’re after a compact 7-inch model, the slightly bigger 8-inch design or the full size 10.1-inch product, there’s sure to be an option in the Tab 3 range that’s for you.

Available in white or dark bronze, the Tab 3 is similar in appearance to the Galaxy S4 and includes a home button at the bottom of the screen, neighboured by two soft-touch navigation buttons.

Here’s a quick rundown about what you can expect from each model:

Tab 3 7-inch

The most affordable of the models, the 7-inch is perfect for someone who wants a light, compact, no frills tablet for a great price. However, just because this model is smaller doesn’t mean it can’t do everything you need it to.

With a 1.2 Ghz Marvell PXA 986 processor, 1GB of RAM and an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, this petite Tab 3 packs a lot of punch. It also comes with a 3-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.2 megapixel shooter on the front.

Tab 3 8-inch

After something a bit bigger that offers more storage? You’ll find this in the Tab 3 8-inch. For slightly more money you’ll be able to enjoy 1280 x 800 display resolution, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

What’s more, the 8-inch features Samsung’s interactive ‘Multi-Window’ option, which allows you to have two separate apps on the same screen at the same time – not a bad feat for a tablet!

Tab 3 10.1-inch

Taking things up a few notches, the Tab 3 10.1-inch may be sold at a higher price but you’ll definitely get value for your money.

With a 1.6GHz dual processor, a 3 mega-pixel camera and 1280 x 800 display resolution, the 10.1-inch includes many of the same features as the 8-inch, only it’s larger in size – perfect for those who do a lot of reading on their tablet.

It’s no secret that Samsung has long been trying to knock the Apple iPad off its market-dominating perch, and perhaps the latest Tab 3 range will do just that.
